Our last wedding of 2011 was a beauty. Abbie and Dave were married on New Years Eve and had a big bash at the Mansion at Valley Country Club to celebrate. The mansion was decorated so beautifully for the holidays and I love those chandeliers. There is something so magical and romantic about a new years eve wedding:) They provided plenty of hats and noisemakers for the midnight countdown (aren’t those pictures so fun?)
Abbie and Dave met while on the cheer leading team for the Ravens and they really are just too darn cute. I refrained from asking Abbie to cheer for us but I bet that first dance of theirs was something special to watch (wish I had a video!). Enjoy the photos…..cheers!

If you have not heard, The Four Seasons has come to Baltimore! We had the privilege of styling the models for a beautiful photo shoot right before the grand opening at the Four Seasons for their wedding promotional items. Julie Savage from Strawberry Milk Events put the whole photo shoot together and I think she is a genius when it comes to design. Everything for the shoot came together so perfectly and I highly recommend all of the vendors involved. Kelley worked her magic with the bride’s hair (incredible right?).
If you have not been to the Four Seasons in Harbor East yet you need to check it out and the views (AH-mazing). I could look at these photos all day. Feel free to leave a comment:)

It is a rare occasion when I get to attend one of these lovely featured weddings and today I am sharing a wedding where I was actually a guest. The groom, Chris, is my sister’s brother-in-law (did you follow that?) and my husband and I have known him for ten years now. Shari chose to have Kelley and I do her hair and makeup on the wedding day (which is a blast in itself) and then I even got a date out of it! It was my first time being at the Thomas Birkby House and it was beautiful. These two are such a sweet couple and care for everyone around them. It was so special to witness their marriage and celebrate with them. Since I know so much about this wedding and all the pictures I figured I would give you a blow by blow through the post:)

Shari wanted the wedding to be very classic and shabby chic with lots of lace. I think her gown was perfect for her.

Such a cute first look photo:)

My sister and her family (so cute)

The rain held off all day until right before the ceremony. So we all stood under umbrellas to watch the nuptials:)

I love this idea of the thumbprint tree!

Who doesn’t enjoy a good Candy Buffet?

If rain on your wedding day is good luck, what does a rainbow signify? Courtenay and Chris waited all day through the nasty drizzle until right before the ceremony when the skies cleared and an enchanting rainbow appeared! Courtenay was inspired by the fall colors of deep orange and plums for her wedding but she could not have even dreamed up a more beautiful sunset ceremony than the one she received. I love it when that happens!!
I loved hanging out with this special group of girls while they got all dolled up at Halo Salon in Annapolis. Courtenay chose to have her long-term hair stylist, Patricia Wagner, style her hair for her wedding day and I adored the voluminous elegant ponytail she created. Halo provided a great spot for me to set up shop so I could do Courtenay’s makeup as well as all of her bridesmaids. This is a great solution for a bride who wants to stick with her life long stylist for the wedding day but still wants to work with Amie Decker Beauty for makeup. Not all salons allow external makeup companies to work at their location, but many will make exceptions for their favorite clients:)
Make sure you check out the “twist wrap” bridesmaid dresses. They are the dresses that can be converted into numerous different styles just by how it is wrapped and twisted (cool huh?).
