I cannot rave about this sweet bride enough. I loved how the couple incorporated their families and friends into their wedding celebration. It was a day full of joy and humor and love, which we were so honored to be a part of. Since we do not typically get to stay for the weddings after we finish hair and makeup, we get such excitement from seeing the photos. Seeing how radiant Jen looked in her wedding photos gives me the biggest smile!
A few words from the Bride…
“Steve and I first and foremost were looking to provide an event where our friends and family could have fun in a relaxed environment that really showcased us as a couple! We found inspiration mostly through our family. We wanted them very involved in our wedding and tried to have small touches of them throughout the day. From my dress (my moms), to my ring (Steve’s grandmother) to the flowers my family provided, they were very present in all of the small details. The cupcakes, bridesmaid’s robes, table name cards and table diagram were all put together by our friends and family as well. I am a big fan of bohemian fashion and I thought combining a few vintage inspired pieces (lace on tables that matched my dress, finger print tree “guest book,” wood card catalog and bright flowers) with more modern accents would balance Steve and my different styles. The Peabody itself provided a great backdrop and we didn’t want to take too much away from the beauty of the venue, we wanted everything to be simple so not to overtake the library.
Amie, Kelley and Shauna were an absolutely PHENOMENAL beauty team! They took incredible care of myself and six bridesmaids on my wedding day. My hair and makeup was what I was least worried about on my wedding day – I knew it was going to be absolutely perfect – and it was! Shauna even offered to paint a few of my bridesmaids nails as we were getting ready, all three went above and beyond! The hours we spend with Amie, Kelley and Shauna were really the best parts of the day, I want to get married all over again just so they can beautify us!”- Jen
