Jaya and Viyas sure know how to party! Their cultural Indian wedding combined traditions from both North India and South India and included two ceremonies and three makeup and hairstyle looks. The photos below are captured by Eli Turner and are from the whole wedding weekend. Jaya also wore different sarees for the two ceremonies and a gorgeous lehnga for the reception. Here is a summery by the girls at Cherry Blossom events who helped pull off this extraordinary affair….
“An Indian wedding celebration is filled with tradition and robust colors. Jaya & Viyas’s multi-day affair at the Mandarin Oriental this April was no exception. On Friday, the first of the two wedding ceremonies honored the Groom’s South Indian heritage. It was hard to believe that this extravagant ceremony was just the beginning to an amazing weekend.
Saturday was the main event. In classic manner, Viyas arrived on horseback and was greeted by Jaya’s family at the hotel entrance signifying joining of their two families. The Dhol player led the groom’s procession into the garden. The weather was perfect and the gold covered mundap shimmered in the sunlight. The traditional ceremony was filled with love and laughter as the families blessed this amazing couple.”
