We are gearing up for the Annual Urban Chic Fashion Show to benefit the American Visionary Arts Museum and I realized I never did a recap of last year’s show. Last year’s theme was “Once Upon a Runway” and this year it is sure to be the best event yet and the theme is “Apocalypse”. Just wait to see what we do with the makeup!!!! So here is a little backstage glimpse into the best Baltimore fashion show of the year!
We owe a Huge thank you to Maria Vicencio for being our behind the scenes backstage photographer! Let the show begin…
Makeup as far as the eye can see:)
Me (Amie Decker) hard at work. We did all of the makeup for the models and the event staff for the show (along with a few VIP’s). We did 25 faces all said and done. Wow!
Sarah hard at work (doin her thang)
Kelley and Stephanie worked on hair styling for all of the event staff and VIP’s. They look like they are working hard too:)
And Maria working her little makeup brushes with a smile:)
The PR director for Urban Chic, Katie Nannes, getting all glam by Sarah.
I love this hairstyle by Kelley. You may recognize this pretty face, one of our hair assistants Tiffany. She may have even prepped your hair before:)
Next we have the hardworking and extraordinary Lindsay Buscher (just named one of Baltimore’s Top 40 under 40 by Baltimore Magazine) who is the owner of Urban Chic. I always love doing Lindsay’s makeup.
I am loving this hair creation by Kelley.
Now onto the local celebrity models. One of our friends, Stephanie Bradshaw, walked the runway. Her design work is true genius!
Our friends at Kobi salon styled all of the models hair for the runway.
Sarah Caldwell and Ava Marie from WBAL are always favorite on the runway every year.
We also had the pleasure of doing hair and makeup for fashion and fitness blogger Hilary Phelps (sister to Olympian Michael Phelps). I think she loved her look, don’t you?
Sarah, Stephanie, Kelley and Maria after a long day of getting people gorgeous.
Now, time for our own touchups
And off to the runway show. The lovely Ava Marie (WBAL) struttin’ her stuff.
And Sarah Caldwell, I love the back of her dress!
The adorable and spunky Sarah Flescher of 98 Rock
Stephanie Bradshaw striking a pose
Blogger and author “The Baltimore Bachelorette”
Any “Bachelor” fans out there? Chris Burkowski of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor Pad walked the runway and even handed out that coveted rose.
Some more of the fun from the show…
Back this year, the amazing band Burnt Sienna. They Rock!
