Owner and Lead Makeup Artist
Amie Decker is a professional makeup artist who loves bringing out an individual’s beauty through makeup. Beauty is her business and Makeup is her tool. Amie has always had an eye for art and design, and a love for people. This led her to study advertising and public relations during college while working part time doing makeup at a cosmetic counter. After college she had the privilege of doing makeup for many close friends on their wedding day which led her to find her niche. In January of 2005, Amie attended Chesapeake School of Aesthetics in Annapolis, MD and received her certification as a licensed makeup artist.
Since that time, Amie’s specialty in Bridal makeup has made her well known in the Maryland and DC area. She is a beauty contributor for Washingtonian Bride & Groom, Baltimore Magazine, BRIDES and she has been chosen by COVERGIRL to be an expert professional makeup artist for special events. Amie is repeatedly featured on Style Me Pretty, BRIDES, Southern Weddings, TheKnot.com and many more online publications. She has been published in The Washingtonian Bride & Groom, Martha Stewart Weddings, Engaged, The Knot magazine, Baltimore Bride magazine, BRIDES Magazine and her work has also been featured on ABC 2 news, WBAL 11 news and Fox 45 Morning News. In addition to working closely with her fabulous brides, she provides makeup for numerous editorial shoots and gives private lessons. Her goal for every client is that they look like them self, photograph well, and of course look the most gorgeous they ever have in their life.
“One of my favorite things to find out about brides when we meet for a trial is how they met their fiancé. Basically, I am a sucker for romance and I get to hear so many sweet stories. My story is pretty simple. When I was in Kindergarten there was an “older” boy, in first grade, who was the cutest thing I had ever seen. My little 5 year old self had no choice but to fall in love with him and he is now my husband. I know this is hard to believe but it really did happen. Of course we did not get married until much later.
So maybe one day I will write a book about all of the beautiful stories I hear about people meeting through school, sports, vacation, websites, friends, work, bars, church and even speed dating. I’d love to hear your story.”

Hair Stylist/ Makeup Artist
“My name is Sarah Lamb and I am a licensed cosmetologist. I love making women feel and look beautiful especially on their wedding day! Ever since I was a little girl I have enjoyed doing hair and makeup. The first haircut I gave was to my younger sister when I was five. Fortunately, my skills have much improved since then! Although hair and makeup were always an interest of mine, making them my career did not come as easily. After high school, I attended Towson University to begin my Speech Pathology career. After changing my major to Elementary Education and Deaf Studies, I thought my life was finally falling into place. Two and a half years later, on vacation with friends, a conversation about loving classes and internships made me realize I was the only one that was not excited to begin my career. It was on that trip, while doing hair and makeup for my friends, that cosmetology school was suggested. The week I returned, I made the scary and exciting decision to follow that path.”
Sarah graduated from Robert Paul Academy in Timonium, MD in August of 2009. While in school, she found that updo’s and formal styles came quite easily to her and she enjoyed the challenge of looking at a picture and recreating it. Since joining the Amie Decker Beauty team she has styled hair for many high profile weddings and worked with some of the area’s best known photographers and wedding planners. Her work has been featured in Washingtonian Bride and Groom, the cover of Baltimore Magazine, Baltimore Bride Magazine and What’s Up Annapolis!
“I feel extremely lucky that I was able to find a career that is fun and stimulating. I am honored to be a part of the Amie Decker Beauty team and excited to help you feel amazing on your special day!”
Maria’s love for makeup started early- with four older sisters, she’s always been surrounded by all things beauty! One of her sisters was also a makeup artist, and Maria found herself in awe of her makeup kit: wanting to learn more and more about techniques and colors, asking her how to use every brush.
Maria graduated from Towson University with a degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations, but always knew that her real passion was makeup and making women feel beautiful. After being asked by friends and family to do their makeup for weddings and other events, Maria realized she could make a career out of doing what she loved.
Maria went to Chesapeake School of Aesthetics in Annapolis, Maryland and became a Certified Makeup Artist in 2011. After that, Amie took her under her wing. Maria apprenticed under Amie, being thrown in the exciting world of weddings! Maria was hooked the instant she worked with her first bridal party and knew this was the right fit. Maria’s work has graced the runway, well known blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Elizabeth Anne Designs, United with Love, Magnolia Rouge and esteemed publications such as The Washington Post and The Knot Magazine.
